Students produce Westwood pilot
Fashion icon Vivienne Westwood is producing a show to put her ideas across about culture, climate change and the environment. To do this she has been working with a group of Ravensbourne broadcasting students over the last few weeks, culminating in a final shoot which took place on Saturday 21 May in Ravensbourne’s studios.
Two BA (Hons) Broadcasting students; Hannah Perry as producer, and Stefan Jones working as lighting designer, worked with Vivienne’s producer, Cynthia King and director, Gordon Swire to help make the live show. Usman Ghafoor, a BA (Hons) Broadcasting (Post Production) student will now be editing the show and taking it to completion.

“The experience has been great for us to work on a final show together as Ravensbourne students, and we have learnt a lot just from working with external clients. Gordon and Cynthia have been great to work with and Vivienne was such a great presenter.” Hannah said.
Cynthia King: “We came to Ravensbourne to hire a studio to shoot Vivienne’s pilot programme for “Get a Life”, but what we got was a team of amazing young people who were so professional and skilled at what they did.”
Vivienne is very pleased with the shoot and as a result has agreed to come as our special guest to the Ravensbourne catwalk show at Graduate Fashion Week.
