Two graduates awarded Best New Blood at D&AD
BA (Hons) Graphic Design students Chelsea Palmer and Natalie Rooke were presented with the coveted ‘Best New Blood award at this year’s graduate exhibition D&AD New Blood.
The ‘Best in Show’ award is given to a number of exhibiting students whose work shows originality and flair. This year, 28 students from universities across the UK were named as ‘Best New Blood’.
Just like last year’s winner from Ravensbourne, Motion Graphics student Callum Parish, the girls will be given a free D&AD membership for one year, an invitation to join D&AD’s graduate placement scheme, and are invited to join talentpool, D&AD’s online portfolio site.
Chelsea said, “It’s fantastic to win. I’m really shocked though – it feels a bit surreal! I’ve had lots of interest from people in the industry, and quite a few job offers already. It’s a great way to finish off my studies at Ravensbourne.”
Chelsea has already shown her potential while at Ravensbourne, having worked with Michael Johnson to design Ravensbourne’s new visual identity.
Congratulations to both winners!
