Seeing is Believing
Senior business leaders from across London attended Seeing is Believing on 1 July. The study tour, organised by Business in the Community and sponsored by Ravensbourne, Greenwich Council and Bovis Lend Lease, examined the progress of regeneration of Greenwich Peninsula. Delegates had a guided tour of the Peninsula and visited Greenwich Council’s new office space at Mitre Passage, to hear from the Council about their inward investment in the area.
Much of the visit focused on Ravensbourne, including a site visit to our new building and an introduction to our business activities, including our contribution to digital skills development across the borough and new business incubation services. We also had an opportunity to highlight some of the transformational activities we are carrying out with school pupils and young people to help them progress into further and higher education.
Business in the Community recognises the commitment that Ravensbourne is making to regeneration in Greenwich and will be working with us to support specific initiatives such as mentoring and work placements, together with the possibility of a significant legacy project in East London.
