Packaging designs by two Ravensbourne students are now on display in British retailer Marks & Spencers (M&S).
Two BA (Hons) Design Products students worked on the designs during a six-month placement at M&S, which is part of an ongoing collaboration between Ravensbourne and the retail giant.

Sarah Knight made some innovative modifications to the packaging of Chilled Lobster during her stint in the Chilled department while Gar Hey Ng was involved with the design for new mince pie packaging whilst working in the Ambient department. The lobster packaging is already on shelf while the mince pie packaging is due to arrive in stores shortly.
The students won the opportunity to undertake the prestigious work placements after working on a sustainability project that looked at three areas across the food department. The project culminated in seven shortlisted students making a presentation to M&S staff who then selected the two students for the placement.
During their time at M&S, the students worked with senior M&S packaging technologists at the retailer’s head office in Paddington to develop sustainable packaging for product lines.
