Location
Ravensbourne is within the London M25 orbital motorway, with good local road and rail links to central London.
Getting to Ravensbourne is quick and easy from all London airports, and from the Eurostar rail link.
- 20 minutes by train from Charing Cross or Waterloo East or London Bridge stations to Elmstead Woods station, which is a 15-minute walk away from the College.
- 15 minutes by car from the M25 motorway junction 3 at Swanley.
- Local buses to and from Bromley stop close to the campus.

By road
From the M25 motorway:
- M25 to Swanley, Junction 3.
- A20 towards London then Bromley/Sidcup exit onto A222 towards Bromley/Chislehurst (Perry Street).
- At the main traffic lights by the war memorial, turn right towards Chislehurst.
- Straight through the High Street, past Barclays Bank on the left hand side.
- At the traffic lights by the Abbey National turn left into Willow Grove.
- About half a mile down turn right into Walden Road.
- Ravensbourne is about a quarter of a mile on the right.
From Central London:
- A2 from Elephant & Castle (New Kent Road/Old Kent Road) to New Cross.
- A20 into Lewisham, take 2nd exit on roundabout leading into Lee High Road (signposted A20 Maidstone).
- Straight through Lee Green, A20 Eltham Road which then becomes Sidcup Road (dual carriageway – note speed limit: 40 mph).
- At Crossways Junction (Burger King is on the right) turn right into Green Lane then first right into William Barefoot Drive.
- At Whitehorse Hill traffic lights go straight across into Elmstead Lane.
- Walden Road is forth on the left down the hill.
By rail
It takes approximately 20 minutes by train from London Charing Cross, London Waterloo East or London Bridge stations to Elmstead Woods station.
Ravensbourne is a 10–15 minute walk from Elmstead Woods station.
- Turn left out of the station car park and walk up Elmstead Lane.
- Take the second turning on the right into Walden Road.
- Ravensbourne is about 300 metres along on the left.
There is a mini cab office at the station, and a taxi* to the College will cost about £4.
From Gatwick Airport
- Gatwick Express (non-stop 30 minutes) or Network South Central train (stopping train, 60 minutes) to Victoria.
- Underground (the Tube, Zone 4 Travelcard) from Victoria to Charing Cross and then take the train to Elmstead Woods.
- A taxi* from Gatwick will cost about £40 and take about 50 minutes.
From Heathrow Airport
- Underground (the Tube, Zone 4 Travelcard) from Heathrow to Charing Cross and then take the train to Elmstead Woods.
- A taxi* from Heathrow will cost about £57 and take about an hour and a quarter.
From Stansted Airport
- Train from Stansted airport terminal to Liverpool Street (45 minutes).
- Underground (the Tube, Zone 4 Travelcard) from Liverpool Street to London Bridge and then take the train to Elmstead Woods.
- A taxi* from Stansted will cost about £55 and take about an hour and a half.
From London City Airport
- Silverlink train from Silvertown, or a bus, to Canning Town.
- Underground (the Tube, Zone 4 Travelcard) from Canning Town to London Bridge and then take the train to Elmstead Woods.
- A taxi* from City Airport will cost about £35 and take under an hour.
