Jay Osgerby

Jay Osgerby

Course: BA (Hons) Product Design

Year of Graduation: 1990

Jay Osgerby studied at Ravensbourne in the late 1980s and graduated in product design in 1990. Having obtained his Masters’ degree in architecture at The Royal College of Art, Jay and fellow designer, Edward Barber founded renowned design studio Barber & Osgerby in 1996.

Barber & Osgerby have received many awards for their work, these include the Jerwood prize in 2004 and the accolade of Royal Designers for Industry (RDI) in 2007. They were awarded honorary doctorates by several institutions and in 2013 they received the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to the design industry. 

Permanent and prestigious collections worldwide house examples of their work, including the V&A Museum, London; New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art; London’s Design Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Clare Waight Keller

Clare Waight Keller

Course: BA (Hons) Fashion

Year of Graduation: 1991

Clare received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the then Ravensbourne College of Art and a Master’s degree in knitwear from the Royal College of Art in London. 

She began her career at Calvin Klein in New York designing women’s ready-to-wear before moving to Ralph Lauren to work on the men’s Purple Label collection. 

She is now artistic director of Givenchy and famously designed Meghan Markle’s wedding gown. In 2018 Clare visited the Ravensbourne Degree Show, taking the time to chat with staff and students and view the work.

Alumni Andi Osho

Andy Osho

Course: Television Programme Operations

Year of Graduation: 1993

Andi Osho studied Television Programme Operations at Ravensbourne, completing the Higher National Diploma in 1993.

She went on to establish a career as an actor, writer and award-winning stand-up comedian. She has appeared in a variety of programmes from Mock the Week to Waking the Dead, and given performances as a stand-up comedian at Reading Festival, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Live at The Apollo and many more.

Maria Cornejo

Maria Cornejo

Course: BA (Hons) Fashion

Year of Graduation: 1984

Maria Cornejo was born in Chile and moved to England with her family when she was a child. Her varied career spans London, Paris, Milan and Tokyo where she was part of the ground-breaking design partnership Richmond Cornejo, developed her own signature “Maria Cornejo” collection, and worked as a creative consultant for major retailers such as Joseph, Tehen and Jigsaw.

A champion of women, in the fashion industry and beyond, her work is guided by the idea of creating wearable luxury for real women.
