International – How to apply and entry criteria

 



How to apply

To complete your application you will need to meet UK Border Agency (UKBA) requirements, which is a ‘points based system’. Please click here for the UK Border Agency website.

You will need to complete an appropriate application form (see below). You will then be asked to send the following items:

  • Examples of your work
  • 2 references
  • English language test results such as IELTS or TOEFL
  • A copy of your passport
  • Education certificates and transcripts

Pre-degree courses

For all Pre-degree courses you will need to apply to the College directly. To obtain an application form

Undergraduate courses

For Honours Degree and Foundation Degree courses, you will need to apply via Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).

Entry criteria

Academic requirements

At Ravensbourne we accept a broad range of UK equivalent qualifications for entry to our courses. International Students’ academic qualifications will be compared using the services offered by UK NARIC.

If you have specific questions regarding qualifications from a particular country, please contact international@rave.ac.uk.

English language

The College offers free English language support on campus to help throughout the year. Our staff member can help you with written work such as essays, dissertations and presentations. We offer a self-study route to improve your language skills, using language materials in our Learning Resource Centre and also a weekly support class.

Undergraduate and Pre-Degree

The English Language standard to aim for is represented by one of the following:

  • IELTS score of 6 points
  • TOEfl score of 550/212/79 points
  • CAE at grade B
  • CPE at grade C
  • GCSE English at grade C

Postgraduate

If you intend to apply for a postgraduate course, the English Language standard to aim for is represented by one of the following:

  • IELTS score of 6.5 points
  • TOEfl score of 575/232/90 points
