What is an Audio Projects Engineer?
Audio projects engineers build new or replacement sound production and transmission systems. This can be for radio and television broadcast organisations, such as the BBC, Sky, or for foreign broadcast companies that require skilled audio engineering expertise.
What would I be doing?
- designing, modifying and installing new or replacement sound production and transmission systems for broadcast and other media organisations.
What skills do I need?
- being comfortable working as part of a team and independently
- strong interpersonal skills
- good all-round knowledge of analogue and digital audio systems and how they integrate into a radio and television broadcasting context
- confident user of CAD (computer aided design) software.
