Graphic and motion graphic design
Graphic Design is a hugely challenging and rewarding profession; not only does it allow you to be creative, but you could find yourself working on projects for big brand names such as Apple, Levis, Adidas, or Sainsbury’s.
As a graphic designer you produce work – most likely with the use of graphics software, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign – for various media: poster, packaging design, website, signage, exhibition, magazine, or advertising.
What’s more, “motion graphic design” – a subset of graphic design, uses the principles of graphic design in a film, video context, or other temporary visually moving medium. Think of title sequences, music videos, TV channel branding, film trailers and advertisements; all are motion graphics.
Interestingly, it’s only in the last few years that you will have noticed how elaborate and sophisticated this medium has become!
For both disciplines, you could be involved with pitching and being proactive in selling ideas and work to prospective customers and clients.
