Hello, welcome to my blog!

It’s the end of the second term this year at Ravensbourne. An awful lot has been happening, and the end of term, means deadlines! On the engineering course we’ve had one exam in ICT Engineering, as well as 2 reports to write.

I’ve been lucky enough to start a casual job at the British Music Experience in The O2 this week. I was able to apply as they advertised the job in Ravensbourne’s internal job center called ‘The Hub’. Pauline and the team are always there to help go over your CV, find work placements, and give general careers advice, which is very useful!

One of the major projects I’m working on this year is Ravensbourne2011, our end of year degree show, where students exhibit their work and industry delegates come and look around. We’re lucky enough on the engineering pathways to have this event count towards one of our units, and this has meant that it’s all hands on deck. My job is to oversee all technical aspects of the event. It’s fantastic as I get to work with people from a range of disciplines both from inside the college, as well as external companies. It’s a tough learning curve, but one I’m thoroughly enjoying, and I can’t wait to see the end result.
